Gallery Hours Monday – Saturday 10-5, Sunday 11-4

The paintings exhibited here are part of an ongoing series of Connecticut salt marshes and rivers, mainly around Helen’s home in old Lyme. She paint on oils and does printmaking. Artists who have most influenced her work include Willem deKooning and many modern painters working in an ”expressionist/realist” way. Helen Cantrell boasts a lengthy list of one man and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, as well as several awards and glowing reviews. We invite you to view a refreshing perspective of the Connecticut saltmarsh.
